Local Attractions #35: Little Museum of Dublin

The Little Museum of Dublin is labelled “the people’s museum” and is voted the number one museum in Dublin on TripAdvisor. The aptly named museum is situated within a Georgian townhouse in the very centre of the city and prides itself in offering a unique and detailed overview on the fascinating aspects and stories of the history of Dublin in the 20th century, all told expertly by friendly and interactive guides.

The museum features over 5,000 artefacts and memorabilia either donated or loaned by the people of Dublin. Topics within the tour include the 1916 Easter Rising, the visit of President John F. Kennedy, as well as more modern aspects including an exhibit focusing on the Dublin rock band U2.
