Local Attractions #10: Christ Church Cathedral

Christ Church Cathedral was founded almost 1,000 years ago and is one of the top visitor attractions in Dublin. Visitors can enjoy and view the beautiful interior of the Cathedral and witness the wide range of important collection of relics within the cathedral, including a miraculous speaking cross and a piece from the crib of Jesus.
Christ Church Cathedral
Christ Church Cathedral also includes the medieval crypt, an underground tomb thought to be the oldest working structure in Dublin. Here you will find the cathedral’s own copy of the Magna Carta on display, along with ‘the Cat & the Rat’ – two mummified animals.

Guided tours for the cathedral now include the chance to visit the belfry and ring the bells of Christ Church Cathedral yourself.
